This Saturday, at Steel Shop Athletics in St. Charles, MO, Stand Up Fight Series is set to

showcase its eighth electrifying card of Muay Thai excellence!! Featured amidst a myriad of

fan-friendly fights, we have a massive four-man Muay Thai Heavyweight Title tournament!

In one bracket of this Clash of Titans, we have a match-up between kickboxing standout,

James Selzer, and rising MMA contender, Keenan Carnes. Fighting out of KBC Garage, and

The Church, James Selzer has real name recognition in the realm of Midwest kickboxing.

Known as a gritty, pressure fighter, with a knack for devastating hand combinations, Selzer aims to end the night with two motionless opponents, and a shiny new title in his wake.

Fighting out of Wise Warriors MMA, Keenan Carnes has spent the majority of his martial

arts career on the wrestling mats and upon the canvas of MMA cages. Nevertheless, Carnes is no stranger to high-octane striking exchanges. In addition to his weight-defying athleticism, Carnes is very confident, aggressive, and brutal on the feet. Although he lacks traditional Muay Thai combat experience, Carnes may possess the most diverse striking style, having exemplified effective use of knees in the clinch, devastating hand combinations, chopping leg kicks, and lethal high kicks to the dome.

In the second bracket of the Heavyweight tourney, we have a match-up between Stand

Up Fight Series alum, Dante Sweeney, and the Hulking Heavyweight Muay Thai fighter, Tyler Lust. Aside from his two MMA bouts, Sweeney has only one fight in the Muay Thai ring. Nevertheless, this one fight was in the Stand Up Fight Series. Moreover, the bout resulted in a 24-second leg kick Knockout for Sweeney. With a whopping stature of 6’6 and a heavy-limbed, counter-striking style, Sweeney is hoping that a tournament crown will catapult him toward a career in the prestigious Glory Kickboxing promotion.

On the other side of this monstrous affair, we have the 6’5 tank of a man, Tyler Lust.

Coming off of a jaw-dropping, second round knockout over St. Louis stand-out, Terell Ursery, Lust has proven himself to be a dangerous man despite a short record of 2-0. Having previously focused all of his martial arts experience on his career in private security, Lust wishes to make up for lost time as he fights his way into contention amongst the elite fighters in the professional category. With a high pressure style fashioned to end conflict quickly, Lust plans to utilize his strength in cardio to run over his opponents as he keeps his momentum rolling into a gold-studded martial arts career.

Each man is massive, each man has fight-ending knockout power, and each man is

hungry for success under the big lights on fight night! Only time will tell who is destined to rise from the ashes of this epic, barn-burner of a tournament. All that is certain, is that the Earth will quiver as these men go to battle to obtain the Heavyweight Crown!!!
