HELTON VS PEDUTO! For the Stand Up Fight Series 125lb Kickboxing Title!!
Saturday, July 23rd, St. Louis, Missouri at The Renaissance Hotel… O’fallon, Missouri’s Elizabeth Helton (10-8) will be taking on Charleston, South Carolinas... Amy Peduto (6-6)!
“This fight will have it all!” Said Stand Up Fight Series President Chad Mueller “These two women are at the top of women’s kickboxing here in the USA. You will see amazing technique, power, and personality in this fight… And there is some bad blood between these two, that will add a little more fuel to the fire... There is a reason this fight is on the main card and I’m excited for these two to show St. Louis what high-level striking looks like!”
If you have ever seen either of these women fight… You know that you’re in for absolute fireworks! Both Helton and Peduto share a very similar kickboxing style of heavy punches mixed with powerful leg kicks and on July 23rd, they will clash!
Helton, fresh off a National Championship tournament win and fighting overseas in Italy for Team USA, is excited to be fighting in her hometown again. “I’ve had trouble finding fights in St. Louis, and am so excited to be able to compete in front of my friends and family again” Said Helton. When asked about her opponent, Helton said “She is out of a good gym (Charleston Muay Thai), she works hard and puts on a good show. I know she’s bringing the fight and that’s why I took it.”
But Helton thinks her movement will be a big advantage for her. “I’ll win using my movement and footwork. I’m excited to have a 5 round fight because I can sometimes be a slow starter but my cardio is great and I can push hard still in the later rounds” Helton said.
But looking to play spoiler is Amy Peduto. Peduto who is currently 4-1 in her last 5 fights, looks to continue her recent hot streak! When asked about coming into St. Louis against the hometown fighter, and a hostile environment Amy had this to say “…I’m excited. I’m not new to being the “underdog” or a rowdy crowd…. I tend to be the troublemaker on our team, people love to hate me, and I thrive in these environments…. So I’m sittin pretty. I’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain”
“I know Liz is a game, tough opponent. She has a whole city watching her, weighing on her, an inaugural belt and show riding on her shoulders…. That sounds like a lot of responsibility to me…. I’m just rollin in, ready”
Saturday, July 23rd at the Renaissance Hotel we will find out who the queen of the 125lb division is! Will it be the hometown Helton… or will Peduto be shining her beautiful new belt all the way back to South Carolina…
